Spring Is Here!! Your skin’s needs can change with the seasons, and so should your skincare routine. As the weather gets warmer and the air becomes less dry, here’s what you need to know to refresh your skin from head to toe.
Spring time is a time to shed your clothes and work on your glow! Here are some things I find helpful to achieve my best skin possible. I really love being able to go foundation free and trust that my skin is always looking its best with just a few beauty tips listed below:
Step 1: Shed your winter coat. Exposure to cold, harsh winter weather can dull your skin. Slough off last season with a gentle-but-effective exfoliator for your face and body. In seconds, you’ll have smoother, more radiant-looking skin with visibly improved tone and texture.
Step 2: Check your levels. Hydration levels, that is. In many parts of the world, the air is more humid in the spring than in the winter — which means now might be the time to swap your heavy cream for a lightweight moisturizer or oil-free serum.
Step 3: Enhance your skin tone. Give yourself a boost of color and confidence with a healthy-looking glow that doesn’t come from the sun. Today’s self-tanners are easy to use and deliver results so natural-looking that there’s no reason to expose your body to damaging UV rays. Pro tip: Extend your color (and keep skin feeling soft) by moisturizing regularly.
Step 4: Protect yourself. While the thought of soaking up the sun may be tempting, remember that even five minutes of unprotected UV exposure can damage your skin. No matter whether you’re stepping out for a moment or spending the day at the pool, defend yourself from harmful rays and help prevent premature signs of aging by wearing a hat and sunglasses, applying (and re-applying) sunscreen and seeking shade whenever possible.
